Don’t worry….it’s not THE end, it’s WEST end. I am thrilled to announce that Uppercase Photography studio is moving to the West End area of downtown Winston Salem. By June 15th, my new address will be 930 West Fourth Street. You will find me right across the street from the lovely Grace Court and right beside the delicious West End Cafe!

Now, I know what you are thinking. You know I love my current studio and I know many of you do as well. Believe me, it was a tough decision that required many sleepless nights (all you new mommies and daddies probably know a thing or two about those.) But I think we will all enjoy some wonderful benefits the new space has to offer and I can’t wait to share it with you. Right now, the space is getting a little sprucing up. New floors are going in as I type and I am spending way too much time on Pinterest searching for just the right paint colors and furnishings.

I just had to fill you all in on the exciting news. Be sure to check back often to see images of the new space and find out when you can stop by to check it out at an Open House event. In the meantime, all sessions are proceeding as usual. I will continue shooting sessions in my current space until everything is ready at the West End studio. I am also continuing to book summer sessions and would love to hear from you at julie@uppercasephotography.com.

Tomorrow is officially the first day of spring, but I am writing this blog post today wrapped in a cozy blanket in front of my computer at the studio. Spring may be taking a bit longer than usual to arrive this year. Sweet new babies, however are continuing to arrive just on time (mostly!)

Miss M was such a perfect little love for her session. I loved all her images, but I think my favorite moment of her session was capturing three generations of beautiful ladies together in one image.

Now Booking

Beach Sessions

Spots for Myrtle Beach sessions in August are now filled. I have a couple of spots remaining for July beach sessions at the Outer Banks. Please email for dates and further details.

If you are a long time follower of the Uppercase Photography blog, you may recognize the big sister in these images. I have had the pleasure of photographing Miss K since she was a newborn. The camera has always loved her (as evidence by her one year session here) and I have always loved spending time with all of her family. It is so much fun planning her sessions/outfits with mom, capturing that sweet face, and then designing wall displays and albums for their home. Before the holidays, however, this family became even MORE fun as they welcomed another beautiful baby girl. I was so excited to meet Miss M and wondered how Miss K would take to sharing the spotlight in front of my camera. As is evidenced below, she adores her new sister and was happy to show her off to me at the studio.

Greensboro Newborn Photographer | Fall Perfection

Have you all been surviving these cold winter days and hints of winter weather? During these cold and dreary days is a perfect time to take a look back at the beautiful colors of fall. Between the gorgeous fall color, the neutral clothing, and the model worthy beautiful family…..this session was easily one of my favorite outdoor sessions this fall. Nevermind that the police stopped to pay us a visit while we were shooting. All’s well that ends well right?

When Aaron, the dad seen in these images, is not modeling for me he owns his own hardwood floor company. Hall’s Hardwood Flooring, Inc. refinished and put in new hardwood floors in my home a few months ago. To say I love the new floors is an understatement. They have changed the whole look of the house and spurred me to do other redecorating projects so the rest of our home can look as awesome as our floors. So if you too want to redecorate your whole house to match your awesome hardwood floors, give Aaron a call!

Snow Babies Special

I am continuing to book newborn sessions with the annual Snow Babies Special. You can read more about this wonderful special HERE. If you aren’t expecting and refer someone who is, you can receive a $50 credit toward your own session with Uppercase Photography as well.

Beach Session Dates

Can you believe it’s time to start thinking about beach sessions? I enjoy booking a very limited number of beach sessions every year and the images capture at our beautiful Carolina coast are always favorites of my clients. This year, we are changing up location a little! I will be in the Outer Banks and available for beach sessions July 14-19th and in the Myrtle Beach area August 3-8th. Session spots are very limited so please email me right away for more details and to reserve your spot.

Welcome to 2013! I hope everyone had a relaxing and festive holiday season. Late fall was filled with a flurry of autumn leaves and holiday sessions and then I enjoyed some time off to celebrate with my family. It was great to leave my computer turned off for an entire week! But I am back to the studio now and so excited for a brand new year in the business. Can you believe that this May will mark my 7th year capturing all you beautiful folks in the Triad?

Now that the cold winter months have arrived, it is time for Uppercase Photography’s annual Snow Babies Special. Anyone who books a newborn session during January and February (can be due at any time in 2013) will receive their entire session fee credited toward their order ($120 savings.) And this year, there is even a little something for those who aren’t expecting….as long as you know someone who is! Refer a friend who books the Snow Babies Newborn Special and YOU will receive a $50 credit toward your next session.

Last Minute Holiday Minis | Winston Salem Newborn Photographer

Hello out there! The busy fall/holiday season is in full swing and I have enjoyed seeing many faces, new and old, in the last couple of months. My calendar has been all full for regular sessions since September. However, I have decided to open up a couple of dates at the studio for holiday mini sessions. Did you miss out on your chance to book a fall session with Uppercase Photography? Or do you just want a few special images for holiday gifts/cards? Here’s your chance! These will be 20 minute sessions in the studio and digital files will be included in the price. The Last Minute Holiday minis will be held on November 29th and 30th. A few spots remain open, so please email me immediately at julie@uppercasephotography.com if you are interested. I will provide pricing and further details through email. I almost began typing another “I’m sorry it’s been so long since I updated the blog” post, but I think I’ve said that the last several updates. So you all can just assume that it’s super busy at the Uppercase studio and I’ll update the blog when I can. Deal?

The fall calendar is now booked. I am looking forward to seeing everyone who snagged a spot! If you didn’t get a spot and want to be placed on a waiting list, please email me at julie@uppercasephotography.com. Please note that the waiting list will be for weekday slots only and there are no weekend spots available even with cancellations.

I AM still accepting sessions for newborns and babies under one year for November and December. If you are due at that time, please reserve your spot on the calendar. I am also booking 2013 due dates already (only 2013 newborns currently booking.) It’s seems hard to believe that 2013 due dates are on my calendar but I’m sure it will be here before we know it!

I am excited to share baby Julie on the blog today. I have photographed so, so many newborn babies, but never one who shared my name. It was such a treat and she was the most beautiful and relaxed baby. I loved her entire session and am sharing many of them with you today. Winston Salem Photographer | Now Booking For Fall

Helloooooo out there. I’m here, I’m here! The blog has been a littler quieter than usual this summer. It’s certainly not a lack of beautiful new images to share. There are so many I want to share with you. But between shooting newborns, beach sessions, and lots of adorable growing babies, I have been spending as much time as possible with my own beautiful girls. They will begin school next week (they will all be in school this year; so hard to believe!) and as much as I hate to see summer slipping away, I am looking forward to a regular work and home routine again.

September is fully booked and I am now booking for October through the end of the year. Please contact me at julie@uppercasephotography.com as soon as possible to book a session. Those coveted fall outdoor spots are going fast!

If you had a newborn or baby (1 year and under) session in June, July or August please be on the lookout for a email soon (early Sept.) regarding your complimentary holiday mini session. The available dates/times will be booked on a first come, first served basis.

Are you expecting this fall? Please be sure to prebook your newborn session before your baby arrives. I have had to turn some newborns away this summer who weren’t prebooked when I couldn’t work them into my already busy schedule. To ensure your baby has a spot, please book while you are still expecting. Email me for details.

The completely perfect Miss E had her session prebooked and was a delightful subject at one week old. She had such dainty, girly features that I couldn’t resist a touch of pink for her session.

And I won’t quite be “doing nothing” as I do have some beach sessions scheduled during my time away. I look forward to seeing my clients on the beach. If you are interested in how beach sessions work, please email me and I will give you details (though this current trip is all booked.)
