I love when clients are open to ideas for clothing and styling of their session and also have ideas of their own. Miss A’s mom is always ready to hear my ideas regarding what to wear and where to shoot. As we began to discuss this session, A’s mom mentioned she was imagining a simple white sundress. A few weeks later I ran across a field of clover and knew that a simple sundress in this spot would be perfect. Don’t you agree? Simple, innocent and lovely…
For Miss A’s other outfit, her mom was open to suggestion so I knew I wanted something with a bit more punch since the white sundress was so simple and innocent. The best way to add interest with clothing is not with pattern, but with color and texture. You’ll notice that Miss A is still wearing solid colors in the next set of photographs, but the styling of her dress and the denim in her jacket add some interest without drawing too much attention away from her beautiful face.
We ended the evening in a spring field, with the green backdrop complimenting the coral dress and letting Miss A be the star of the show…..along with a “little friend” I brought along to keep her occupied.
I just love it when I feel like a session comes together like Miss A’s session….the location, the clothing, the props all complimenting and focusing on the simple beauty of this sweet girl. Thanks Miss A for such a wonderful evening and for what is always the best part of a session with you….the huge hugs and kisses when we are all done.
