Most of the time my job is to photograph newborn babies. I LOVE my job so much. I love creating just the perfect environment in my studio so that newborn babies drift off into a peaceful sleep while I pose them and capture all their newness. I never tire of it.
However, every summer I take a small break from newborn babies and invite families to have beach portraits taken on the North Carolina coast. Each year I look forward to capturing a select few families on the beach. There is just something about the beach atmosphere that makes it easy for families to relax and love one another in front of my lens. If I told you how easy it was to capture this beautiful family I am sharing today you wouldn’t believe me. Yes, there were all the usual technical challenges of lighting, focus, composition, etc. But the fun and the love was all provided for me by this beautiful family….I just had the privilege of being there to capture it.
These images make me happy and I know they make this family happy as well and will for many years to come. I hope they add a little sunshine and happiness to your day today too.

Scheduling Updates:
My calendar is now filled for September and October with the exception of newborns. I have a very limited number of November session spots remaining as well and will then close the calendar for the remainder of 2011. If you are interested in a fall session, please email me immediately to discuss reserving a spot. Once the final couple of spots are filled I will begin a waiting list for fall sessions in case of cancellations.
