The Unexpected | Winston Salem Photographer

I am continuing to book beach sessions and local sessions for the summer.  Please email me for my current availability and more information at julie@uppercasephotography.com

Anyone who knows me well, knows I am a girl who likes a plan.  I like to know what to expect.  But when working with toddlers, it’s what you don’t expect that can be the most fun!  You just have to embrace the adventure and see where it leads you.

Miss K came for the final session of her baby plan.  She was not just walking, but running, and “in rare form” as her mommy put it.  She was so much fun!

But of course the shot from her session that appeals to me most was when she stopped all her hilarious antics and gave me the most stunning look, which I processed with a little vintage.  I am in love with vintage lately!

And this sweet Miss K, we had imagined her session in blooming daffodils.  Apparently Miss K is not a fan of daffodils, which she promptly let us know when we plopped her down in a patch.  But no worries, she LOVED frolicking in the tall grass and singing songs with me….no daffodils required. :)

And a little more vintage….did I mentioned I’m obsessed with it lately. :) winstonsalemchildrenphotographer05

Yes, sometimes the unexpected can work out even better than the plan.  Similarly, it seems all my friends are currently obsessed with Twilight.  But my newest obsession (besides the vintage processing) is a show on the History Channel called Madhouse.  Have you ever watched it?  I’ll bet some of my local readers have seen it too.  My husband turned it on one evening and I never would have expected to love it….but I am hooked.  It’s my guilty TV pleasure.  What’s your current TV obsession?  Leave a comment and let me know.

I feel so guilty watching a show that portrays our town as a bunch of rednecks....but it is oh so entertaining! :) And you Housewives girls...my friend introduced me to that show when we were in Hawaii. Now that you mention it I may have to rediscover it during late night editing. :)
