Growing | Winston Salem Children’s Photographer

Seems like everyone and everything at our house is growing!  We spent a good part of Saturday taking down the crib and playing “musical bedrooms” at our house.  Each of the girls moved to a different bedroom and Stella moved into a big girl bed for the first time.  A little bittersweet, but fun to see them growing and changing.  They each picked new bedding for their new rooms.  Stella wanted stripes and Claire wanted polka dots…..and Grace, well let’s just say her new bedding is so bright you gotta wear shades!  The rooms aren’t photo worthy just yet as moving three closets full of girls clothes, shoes, and accessories is quite the shore.  But I can share a few of the new clothes filling those closets.  We had fun recently shooting a new line for Giraffikiki Kidz.  The girls just loved these outfits and headbands and I loved them too for their comfort, stay put headbands and just overall adorableness.  I hear that items for boys and babies have been added to the new line so be sure to use the link above to check them out.  Here are the girls modeling a few of their new items:

There something besides girls growing around our house as well…a garden!  Our middle daughter Claire wanted nothing for her birthday except her very own garden.  Thanks to her dad and papa, there is now a small but quite spiffy garden in our backyard.  I am hoping to follow the progress of the garden through the summer in photos.  These were taken on planting day:

We started the garden with carrots, broccoli and lettuce which are all sprouting up nicely now.  We hope to be adding tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and squash soon.  *Disclaimer* We are not expert gardeners (read: We have no real idea what we are doing!) so if you spot something in these photos that breaks all sorts of proper gardening rules, please pardon our ignorance.  You’d never know that I grew up with parents who grew all kinds of things in our backyard every summer.  Mom and Dad, I am really wishing now I had paid more attention back then!  But we are finding our way and having lots of fun doing so.  Stay tuned for more garden updates in the future and lots of recent outdoor sessions on the blog very soon!

Scheduling Reminders:

*I am currently booking July and August for both beach and local sessions.  Please email me for details and availability.  Even when my schedule is booked, I try to accommodate maternity and newborn sessions if possible, so please email regarding booking a session.

*I am still offering a special deal for those who prebook their newborn session before Mother’s Day (due date can be any time in 2010.)  Check out the details here and email me for more information.
