One of my favorite parts of my job is packaging all the beautiful products that come through the studio. It is a nice break from the computer to take time to wrap them and add little touches, all the while imagining how much someone is going to enjoy them. Often, I am in such a rush to get them to the clients who purchased them that I don’t stop to take the time to photograph and share the products. Recently, I decided to just place a couple of the products I was packaging in front of the big studio windows and take a few snaps to share with you. (You’ll also notice all the marks on the studio floor…a floor that’s been around since the 1920s is bound to be filled with character!)
So many times, clients will tell me that they “want them all.” This product is a perfect way to have it all from your session. When you purchase the full session disc, you receive each image in your gallery in saved onto a disc. You actually receive two copies of each image, one in full size ready for printing and one already resized/watermarked and ready for sharing online. A print release and instructions for your best printing options are also included. Along with the disc itself, you receive a 5×7 image box custom designed featuring an image from your session.
Stored inside the image box are the disc of files and a 5×7 bordered print of each photo in the gallery.
Why do I include a 5×7 print of each image if you’ve purchased the full set of digital files? The prints are to be used as a reference for correct color and quality. Each print from Uppercase Photography is printed at a professional photo lab and is of the highest in quality. The product at other printing facilities may not be the same, so I like for clients to have reference prints to use for comparison when printing their own files.
The purchase of digital files is definitely not for everyone. Many clients prefer to purchase products ready to be enjoyed upon pickup from the studio. A session album is a great way to enjoy your favorite images from your session. This album is a 5×5 with a black textured cover. However, the cover options for the albums are numerous with choices ranging from neutral to eclectic.
I’ll try to remember to take more product shots of the beautiful items coming through the studio right now. From books to canvases to birth announcements to holiday cards, the studio is filled with goodies this fall!
