Portrait Plans | Winston Salem and Greensboro Children’s Photographer

The exciting changes are continuing here at Uppercase Photography!  I am proud to introduce a new collection of Uppercase Photography Portrait Plans.  Capturing the experience of a new baby and all the exciting changes that happen during those first few years is truly a passion for me.  Therefore, I am so excited to be offering these unique portrait plans that are sure to suit your portrait needs for your child.  I am committed to bringing you beautiful products along with quality and timeless portraiture for your sweet, little Uppercase cuties.  These plans will replace the previously offered portrait plans.  If your child is currently completing a previous portrait plan, nothing will change for them.  We will continue with the previous plan until completed.  You may then move on to one of the new offerings if desired!  So here are the details of each new Portrait Plan:

Uppercase Photography Portrait Plans

…because they don’t stay little.

My passion for photography was ignited as I strived to capture every detail of my own quickly growing children.  The tiny newborn toes, the toothless baby grin, the toddler free spirit…it all passes so quickly!  It is truly my pleasure to capture the details and stages of your own little Uppercase Cutie in a way you will treasure when these days are long gone.  Why?….because they don’t stay little.

Uppercase Expectations~$175

This plan will forever capture the most amazing experience of your life–bringing a new life into the world.  The plan includes a maternity session and a newborn session (within first two weeks of baby’s life).  You will receive an online ordering gallery for each session and 50 custom press printed birth announcements.

Uppercase Newborns~$225

This plan is for those who want to forever capture every detail of their precious newborn.  It includes a newborn session (within first two weeks of baby’s life) with an online ordering gallery, a 20 page custom coffee table book featuring the newborn photos, and 25% off custom birth announcements.

Uppercase Babies~Plan A~$275

This plan chronicles your baby’s first year–from their first smile to their first steps! It includes sessions as 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. You will receive an online ordering gallery from each session, an 8×10 from each session, and a 10×20 storyboard with an image from each session upon completion of the plan.

Uppercase Babies~Plan B~$200

This plan captures the highlights of your babies first year in style.  It includes two sessions, one at six months and one at twelve months.  You will receive an online ordering gallery from each session and a unique custom image box holding six matted photos from each session.  A total of twelve prints can be forever treasured in their custom box or displayed individually on the included easel.

Uppercase Toddlers~$200

This plan captures the fun, inquisitive, “on-the-go” experience that is toddlerhood!  It includes two sessions, one at 18 months and one at two years.  You will receive an online ordering gallery from each session, an 8×10, an 11×14, and a custom 12×12 collage.

Uppercase Childhood~$300

This exclusive portrait plan is only available to “graduates” of the previous portrait plans.  It includes three sessions, at 3 years, 4 years, and 5 years of age.  You will receive an online ordering gallery from each session, an 8×10 from each session, and one 11×14 gallery wrapped canvas…one last stunning childhood portrait before your uppercase cutie starts loosing teeth and starting school.  My, where does the time go?

If you are interested in signing your child up for a portrait plan, please contact me for further details.  If you know someone expecting a child in the near future, send them the link to this blog post and let them know about these unique opportunities to capture their child in beautiful portraits.  Thanks again to all of my wonderful Uppercase clients and your continued support in the work that makes my heart sing!

Encore | North Carolina Beach Photographer

Labor Day weekend gives summer the chance to have one last encore before slipping away into fall.  We spent our Labor Day at Topsail Island and I enjoyed shooting a couple of beach sessions during our trip.  The weather cooperated and provided beautiful light both evenings before the rain set in on Monday as we headed home.  I love shooting beach sessions on the south end of Topsail Island!  My friend and client, Molly, whose family is featured in this post, introduced me to this spot last year and it doesn’t disappoint.  The ocean side is quiet and peaceful and then we can slip over to the sound side as the sun sets and capture dramatic shots like these:

Check It Out | Winston Salem Newborn Photographer

Some of you may have already  noticed some changes taking place around here.  The blog and website have gotten a colorful little update and there is an entirely new client proofing area.  Starting today, September 1st, all sessions will review and purchase their photos through a beautiful online proofing gallery.  I am inviting you today to go in and check it out, while viewing this year’s selections of holiday cards.

To take a little sneak peak and see the cards, follow these instructions:

Click here to take you back to the splash page.  Then click on CLIENT PROOFS to get to the new proofing area.  If you are not already registered, the first thing you will need to do is register.  It will ask you for your name and email address, so we can remember you and save your settings each time you log in.  Once registered you can log in and enter the password to view the cards.  The password is aabdb1cc.  Once you type in the password the slideshow of cards will begin automatically.  If you do not want to view the slideshow, you can click “continue to gallery” at any time to continue on into the gallery of cards.  Feel free to look around, click on the cards, practice adding items to your cart, etc.

I am very excited to be offering you this easy and up-to-date way to purchase your portraits and would love to hear your feedback.  Feel free to email me or leave a comment here to let me know how you like it.

**If you had a session before September 1st and your gallery is still active, you will find that gallery in the old proofing area.  Click ENTER WEBSITE and then proofing and then enter the password you were given.  Once your gallery expires, those proofs will no longer be available online and the old proofing area will be discontinued in the near future.**

And, of course, I couldn’t post without pictures so here are a few of my favorites of the 2009 holiday card designs:

Cuteness Captured | Winston Salem, Greensboro Children’s Photographer

I’ve captured so much cuteness over the past few weeks, so brace yourself for a major overload!

Amelia is 18 months and one busy girl.  She ran, played some golf, lugged around her ducky, sang songs, read books, smelled flowers and more on our evening spent together at Reynolda Gardens.  It was my pleasure to tag along and capture it all.

And my favorite:

Ansley and Riley came to visit me in the studio.  Ansley is six months, which is such a perfect time for portraits.  And Riley, well, he is a little rock star every time he comes. :)

Caleb, who you can see at nine months here, celebrated his first birthday.  He is always such a happy boy!

Little newborn Cole had a head of hair that looks just like Caleb’s when he was a newborn.  I loved the way his hair stood out so nicely against the lighter backgrounds.

I had not seen this cutie, Connor, since he was a newborn.  He was grown into such a sweet little guy and was content to do whatever I wanted him to do for his one year portraits.

Remember the smiling newborn from this post?  She returned for a seven month session.  In addition to smiling, she can now sit, say “da da da”, and all kinds of cool new tricks.  Isn’t it so fun to watch them grow?

This wonderful family moved to the Chicago area a couple of years ago.  They were back in town for one night only and we squeezed in a portrait session.  Despite raining on our parade, we captured some outdoor shots and finished up in the studio.  They were so much fun and truly one of the most loving families I ever seen, which I think shines right through in their portraits.

A special thank you to these three wonderful families who booked beach sessions and for your patience as you wait to see all your beautiful shots.  Shooting on the beach presents its own set of challenges…the weather is unpredictable, the window of opportunity for great lighting is small, the sand, the wind…it is all worth it though for the memories captured!  It was truly my pleasure to capture them.

I love them…so now what? | Winston Salem Children’s Photographer

It happens like this…You get your gallery of photos from a session with Uppercase Photography.  You love them all!  But what to DO with them?  The process of deciding how to display the photos you love can be an overwhelming one for sure.  But never fear, I can help!  Upon request, I can show you how your photos would look displayed together in groupings like these:

wg1blog

The grouping above shows a large 30×40 canvas and two 11×14 prints.

wg12blog

This grouping above shows three 11×14 prints and three 8×10 prints.

wg4blog

And this newborn session grouping shows a 20×24 canvas, two 8×10 prints and two 5×7 prints.

Speaking of canvas…remember this shot of Stella that I loved so much?  I ordered it in a 20×24 canvas that arrived this week.  Here are a couple of shots of the finished product:

canvasblog1

Those of you who have ordered them know that there is nothing more beautiful than seeing a shot you love on canvas (and as you can see, Stella thought it was pretty cool too).

***Uppercase News***

I will be away at the beach August 1st through the 8th.  It will be a working vacation since I have three beach sessions to shoot while I am away.  I will have access to email but phone access will be limited.  I am looking forward to the last little bit of summer before we gear up for back to school.  Can you believe August is already upon us?

It’s been a long time since we’ve had a giveaway on the blog, so I think the time is now!  Leave a comment on this post and you will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate from Uppercase Photography.  Anyone can comment and commenting is easy…just click the “add a comment” button below this post and fill in the form.  Just a fun way to say, “Thanks for being such wonderful clients!”

Good Day, Sunshine | Greensboro Newborn and Baby Photographer

It’s always a “Good Day, Sunshine” when sweet baby girls come to the studio.

Maris was such a precious newborn with the prettiest skin.  She slept peacefully both inside the studio and outside in my backyard!

What You’ve Missed | Winston Salem Children Photographer

I was going through sessions today and thinking  that all you blog readers haven’t gotten to see some great sessions that occured before my vacation.  Of course, I don’t want you to miss all these cuties so I thought I’d share a few.  Be sure to keep reading after the photos for some Uppercase News.

I’ve been photographing Landon since he was two and this year he is turning five.  He is headed off to kindergarten soon!  He has always been a great model for me and this year was no different:

Can you get any more gorgeous than this family?  I don’t think so. :)

Adorable little Genevieve  was a busy girl during her session.  She was such a great little conversationalist to be so young!

And my adorable little miracle baby came back for her nine month session.  You can see her at three and six months here.  She was sitting this time for a few seconds at a time!

And, my goodness, what an adventure this session turned out to be.  The roads to the gardens where closed and we all had to walk from a nearby neighborhood to get there.  Then about an hour into the session the rain began….while we were still far from our cars!  My flipflops were definitely squishy but it was worth it to hang out with these sweet girls.

Now that you are all caught up, on to the Uppercase News:

*I just learned this week that, in October, I will have the opportunity to travel to Hawaii for a week!  I will be learning from some amazing photographers while I am there.  I am so excited about this “once in a lifetime” opportunity.  I have had to rearrange a few sessions to make this happen, so THANK YOU to those who were so willing to make this possible for me.

**With the exception of newborns and baby plan babies, I will not be accepting any more sessions for 2009.  My calendar for the fall has filled up amazingly fast and I am looking forward to seeing all of you who have booked sessions!  If your baby is on the “Here I Grow” baby plan, please go ahead and contact me to book the remainder of your 2009 sessions.  If you are expecting a newborn between now and December, please go ahead and contact me to let me know your due date.  You know how I love watching those babies grow during their first year!

July 23, 2009 - 8:49 pm Brandi-lee - Stunning work as always! Can understand why your already booked up for 2009!
