Baby Boys | Greensboro, Winston Salem Newborn Photographer

The current baby boom brought two beautiful baby boys to my studio last Friday.  I don’t normally shoot more than one newborn in a day (the sessions are longer than regular sessions and require laundry to be done afterwards :) ) but I had to make room in my schedule for both of these sweet boys.  You should have seen me running around in between the sessions washing all my blankets and wraps!  It was definitely worth it to be able to capture these two darling boys.

Scheduling update:  I am completely booked for May and June.  My weekends are booked through July…there is one weekend date left in August.  I am taking weekday appointments for July and August.  Keep in mind that the sun stays up much longer in the summer so outdoor sessions are shot late in the day.  I will let you know when I open my calendar for September and beyond.  I am currently waiting on my children’s fall schedules for dance, etc.  When I open the schedule for the fall, be ready to go ahead and book your holiday appointments…can you believe it is time to start thinking about Christmas cards already?  I have some exciting things planned for Uppercase Photography this fall and I am looking forward to filling you all in on the details!

Miss Molly | Greensboro, Winston Salem Newborn Photographer

I have always heard that things like the moon, etc influence when women go into labor.  Never really thought much of it until I began photographing newborns.  You know, they really do come in waves and lulls.  I’ll have none for a week or two and then several right in a row.  I am in a newborn wave right now and loving it, of course.  Who doesn’t love snuggling and spending time with a brand new baby.  Miss Molly, oh so tiny and sweet, came to see me this week.  She was just shy of 5 pounds and 6 days old in these photos–a perfectly sleepy little model!  She didn’t care where or how I placed her, although she loved to move and stretch her little arms. Check out the smile she gave when daddy kissed her–a daddy’s girl already.  :)

Happy Mother’s Day | Winston Salem Photographer

I hope you all have enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day!  I have had a great day celebrating with family.  I was showered with flower pots, cards, candle holders, dinner at my fave Mexican restaurant  and the sweetest thing ever…Stella saying “Happy Mudder’s Day” all day. :)

To help celebrate the beauty of family, here are a few photos from various recent sessions:

Sleepy Teddy Bear | Winston Salem Photographer, Julie Wagoner

It is certainly a good day for sleeping today–cool and rainy.  My kids must think so too because both of the little ones have been upstairs napping for the past two hours.  I kind of wish I was napping too. :)

Little Max thought Friday was a good day for sleeping as well.  At 14 days old, he slept through almost all of his newborn session.

Scheduling update:  I couldn’t possibly take another session for May, unless I have a cancellation.  I really wish I could, but I must leave time for showering and a few hours sleep each night. You wouldn’t want me to shoot your sessions if I didn’t.  :)  Newborns are, of course, the exception since their arrival can be quite unpredictable.

I AM scheduling sessions for June, July, and August.  There are a couple of spots left for June.  Please contact me as soon as you know you would like to book a session.  I love meeting new clients and seeing how much returning clients have grown!

Happy Babies | Winston Salem / Greensboro Photographer

I had the opportunity to photograph some and the happiest and sweetest babies last week.  The weather was good, the babies were good, the families were good…life was just good. :)  Here are some sweet babies enjoying the good life:

Madison had her one year session at Bethabara Park and waved at EVERY car going by on the little one lane street there–it was hilarious!

You may remember Kaylee’s “hanging baby” newborn shot shown here.  It is one of my all-time favorites and hangs in my studio.  She is almost four months old now and came back to see me this weekend.  My how she has grown!  She is going to be a talker…she cooed and talked to me the entire session.

Miracle Baby | Winston Salem, NC Photographer

**CLICK HOME ABOVE TO VIEW MY MOST RECENT WORK**

If you are a longtime blog reader you may remember posts about Emmi.  She is the neice of my husband’s coworker and I am lucky enough to have her on my baby plan.  But Emmi is not just any other baby…she is truly a miracle.  She was born three months early weighing less than 2 pounds.  She spent several months in the NICU but is now doing amazingly well.  When I shot Emmi’s three month session she weighed around 5 pounds and behaved just like a newborn.  Here are a couple images from that session:

emmithreemoblog

Emmi came back recently for her six month session and I was just blown away at her progress.  She is hitting the milestones of a typical three month old, as expected for a preemie, but just look at her.  Her chubby cheeks, her bright eyes, the way she’s holding that head up…it was so wonderful to see her progress!

I had the best time hanging out with her and listening to her cooing.  I can’t wait to update you on how she has changed when she returns in July!

Let’s Hear It For The Girls | Winston Salem , Greensboro Photographer

Happy Easter everyone!  I hope you’ve all enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend filled with family and fun.  I’ve been a little missing in action lately here on the blog, but only because I’ve been so busy!  Tory, the girls, and I enjoyed a little spring break trip to Raleigh.  I know, Raleigh is probably not a popular spring break destination, but we had a great time.  We enjoyed beautiful weather, visited several museums and parks, had dinner with college friends, and even had our family photos taken by some photographer friends.  I hope to be able to share some photos of me and the family on the other side of the camera soon.  I am, however, much more comfortable being photographer as opposed to model!

I have had some wonderful little girls in the studio over the past couple of weeks who were beautiful models for me.

Ansley had her three month session and gave us a big grin:

Embry was a bundle of fun for her six month session:
